What is Caravan of Thieves?
This is the third Caravan concert in Brookings. Last year’s concert sold out the Harbor Performing Arts Center as did the their first show, an “unplugged” house concert.
Those lucky enough to see Caravan’ stunning unplugged house concert in 2012 know what to expect. Those who missed it are in for an amazing musical experience!
Caravan of Thieves roams the North American continent delighting festival audiences with their driving gypsy jazz rhythms — using acoustic guitars, upright bass and violin — that lay the foundation for mesmerizing vocal harmonies and fantastic stories. It’s theatrical and humorous! It’s musical and intense! It entertains, dazzles and defies classification while welcoming fans to join the band throughout the performance in momentary fits of claps, snaps and sing-alongs.
If Django Reinhardt, the cast of Stomp and the Beatles all had a party at Tim Burton’s house, Caravan of Thieves would be the band they hired!
